As college is soon approaching, I’ve been required to think much about my financial situation a lot.  Up until this point I’ve always tried to work my hardest educationally because I though if I were smart and worked hard that I would be able to get scholarships in order to help pay for college.  I mean that’s what people told me anyway…why not believe them?  Well I’ve came to the realization recently that they’re lying.  Working hard and challenging yourself educationally doesn’t really get you anywhere.  Either that or my definition of challenging is quite weak compared to that of the rest of the world.  Anyway, lately I feel as though I’ve done a ton of work over the past 3 years completely in vain..and that is kinda a crappy feeling.  I’m sure there are many people out there who have accomplished more than me, but getting nothing except for $25,000 in loans?  Yeah…that’s great.  Oh well.  Complaining over the Internets won’t fix my problem at all…
